Eric or Erik Jansson or Janson (19 December 1808 – 13 May 1850) was the leader of a Swedish Radical Pietist sect that emigrated to the United States in 1846.
Fearing persecution in Sweden because their beliefs contravened those of the Church of Sweden, Jansson and his followers emigrated to the United States. They named their new home for Biskopskulla, Sweden, Jansson’s birthplace.…
