11 de oct. de 2015 · Khan's sound is still a bit weak, but his compositions are strong, as is the amazing percussion of Manolo Badrena. A longtime collaborator with Khan, Badrena seems to have every type of percussion ever made and uses them all effectively.

Manolo Badrena (born March 17, 1952, in San Juan, Puerto Rico) is a percussionist most noted for his work with Weather Report from 1976 to 1977. He has made contributions to over 100 recordings that span jazz, world music, pop, and Latin music.

31 de ago. de 2020 · Evidence, a reissue in the BMG’s useful Novus Series ’70 series, finds Khan paying warm and lyrical tribute to his first inspirations – all of them modern mainstream jazzmen. The album is dominated by either solo – as in the quirky Monk medley – or overdubbed guitar.
25 de mar. de 2018 · The original Eyewitness—Khan, drummer Steve Jordan, contrabassist Anthony Jackson and percussionist (and sometime vocalist) Manolo Badrena —ceased working together in 1985 for a variety of reasons.
