Otro tema importante es “Ezy Rider”, un rock acelerado con ciertas pinceladas funk, en el cual la batería la toca Buddy Miles, viejo amigo de Hendrix de los tiempos del servicio militar, con quien había formado Band of Gypsys.
El álbum fue completado en un relanzamiento posterior de 1997 incluyendo grabaciones de Mitch Mitchell, el bajista Billy Cox, el batería Buddy Miles y el bajista de Experience Noel Redding, así como con Steve Winwood como invitado especial.

The Cry of Love is the first posthumous album of music by American rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Jimi Hendrix. Recorded primarily in 1970, it features new material that Hendrix was working on for his planned fourth studio album before his death later that year.
