Programs. Located in the heart of New York City’s Theatre District, Circle in the Square Professional Workshop shares space with Broadway’s iconic Circle in the Square Theatre.
Circle in the Square Theatre School is a non-profit, tax exempt drama school associated with Circle in the Square Theatre; it is the only accredited conservatory attached to a Broadway theatre. It offers two 2-year full-time programs: a Professional Theatre Workshop, and a Professional Musical Theatre Workshop.
The complex includes a three- or four-sided main theatre auditorium with a maximum capacity of 680 seats, classrooms, rehearsal studios and administrative offices. In the early years, Circle in the Square Theatre offered some of America’s finest actors the chance to take on demanding roles in an atmosphere free of commercial pressure.

Founded in 1961, Circle in the Square Theatre School is the only accredited training conservatory associated with a Broadway theater. Committed to reaching a diverse body of students, the school is partnered with the Harlem School of the Arts and the Association of Hispanic Arts.
The Circle in the Square Theatre is a Broadway theater at 235 West 50th Street, within the basement of Paramount Plaza, in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City.The current Broadway theater, completed in 1972, is the successor of an off-Broadway theater of the same name, co-founded around 1950 by a group that included Theodore Mann and José Quintero.
