Peter Pye, rhythm guitarist with The Honeycombs. Peter Pye from the NME 2nd April 1965. Peter Pye was born on the 12th of July 1946 in Walthamstow, he was 5' 8" and he has blonde hair and blue eyes. (Thank you N.M.E.) He grew up in the same area as Martin Murray and other Honeycombs band members.
In April 1966, Denis D'Ell, Alan Ward, and Peter Pye left the group. In 1999, the original lineup (except Martin Murray) reformed to work with cult record producer Russell C. Brennan, who they likened to Joe Meek.

Peter Pye (1902 – 3 September 1966), Dr Edward Arthur (Peter) Pye. MRCS, LRCP, was a British yachtsman, author and doctor. Peter Pye was educated at Epsom College, then Trinity College, Cambridge and St George's Hospital, London.
With Peter Pye replacing Martin Murray, the second single, Is It Because, stalled at #38. Eyes, which followed it, bombed totally. To the outsider, The Honeycombs had fallen into the dreaded one-hit-wonder syndrome and, before long, would be stacked on the rejection pile.
