The SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University (formally The State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn) is a public medical school in Brooklyn, New York City. The university includes the College of Medicine, College of Nursing, School of Health Professions, School of Graduate Studies and School of Public Health.

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is the only academic medical center in Brooklyn. Our upper division transfer and post-baccalaureate programs provide professional education for future health professionals in majors such as accelerated BS in nursing, RN-BS, diagnostic medical imaging, physical therapy and physician assistant.
The Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science (BS) program is open only to registered nurses and applicants who are in the final semester of completing their Associate Degree in Nursing and who expect to complete the process of RN licensure by the date of enrollment.
