Having moved to Silver Lake, Los Angeles, Boom Bip released his second solo studio album, Blue Eyed in the Red Room, on Lex Records in 2005. [7] It featured guest appearances from Gruff Rhys and Nina Nastasia. [8] In 2007, he released an EP, Sacchrilege. [9]

In 2007, Boom Bip formed the partnership Neon Neon with Gruff Rhys with whom he had originally collaborated with on his album Blue Eyed in the Red Room. Neon Neon’s Stainless Style was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Award along with Robert Plant, Radiohead, Adele and several others.
