Shaker Heights High School is an International Baccalaureate World School, the only public high school in Cuyahoga County to hold this accreditation and offer rigorous IB classes. It is consistently ranked among the top districts in the state for National Merit semifinalists.
Shaker Heights High School is ranked #2,379 in the National Rankings. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.

Shaker Heights High School is the only high school within the Shaker Heights City School District. The school first opened its doors in 1918, establishing a long history of academic and extracurricular excellence serving the Shaker Heights community for over one hundred years.
