David Letts, más conocido como Dave Vanian (Hemel Hempstead, Inglaterra, 12 de octubre de 1956), es el vocalista del grupo punk rock y posteriormente de rock gótico The Damned; su banda, fue una de las primeras bandas en ser pioneras del punk rock inglés junto a los Sex Pistols y The Clash.
David Vanian (born David Lett, 12 October 1956) is an English rock musician, and lead singer of the punk rock band the Damned. Formed in 1976 in London, the Damned were the first British punk band to release a single, release an album, have a record hit the UK charts, and tour the United States.
The Damned fueron el primer grupo punk inglés en tocar en Estados Unidos, dieron dos conciertos en el mítico CBGB de Nueva York (que viera nacer a Ramones y Talking Heads, entre otros), dos en Boston, dos en Los Ángeles y dos en San Francisco.
