Oscar Castro-Neves (15 de mayo de 1940 - 27 de septiembre de 2013), 1 fue un guitarrista, arreglista y compositor brasileño que es considerado una figura fundadora del Bossa nova. Nació en Río de Janeiro y formó una banda con sus hermanos en su juventud.
Como solista, Oscar grabó más de una docena de álbumes, incluyendo "Maracujá", "Playful Heart" y "All One". Oscar ha estado de gira por todo el mundo con su banda de estrellas, destacada por un concierto en Sydney, Australia, con más de 100.000 asistentes.

Oscar Castro-Neves guests on acoustic guitar on a pair of Antonio Carlos Jobim-Vinicius de Moraes tunes. All of the other tunes save one are Elias originals. What makes this album a success is that Elias is able to combine these various influences into a remarkably cohesive whole.
