Liscard Hall was a 19th-century Grade II listed mansion located in Wallasey, Merseyside, England. Formerly known as Moors Hey House, the building was constructed in 1832 for Sir John Tobin, a former slave-ship captain, on an estate occupying 57 acres (23 ha) of land.
He was a notable merchant in the City of Liverpool. He died on the 9th March 1889, and eventually the Local Board purchased the Hall and grounds. The grounds were turned into Central Park whilst the house was turned into an arts school and renamed 'Liscard Science & Art College'.
The Hall was later developed as the School of Art as part Wallasey College of Further Education. Between the wars the numbers of students increased from 23 in 1925 to 27 in 1938. The number of students enrolled dropped sharply during World War II.

Hollywood was born in Wallasey, Cheshire to bakery proprietor John F. Hollywood and Gillian M. Hollywood (nee Harman). His educational journey began at The Mosslands School and extended to the Wallasey School of Art, where he briefly studied sculpture.
