2 de jun. de 2014 · Shark Bait is Magnet's third album. David Lowery from Cracker and Camper van Beethoven produced the album at his studio, Sound of Music, in Richmond. He recruited some local friends and bandmates, Johnny Hickman and Bob Rupe from Cracker and Jonathan Segal from Camper to help create an eclectic array of sounds.

Nevertheless, the rest of Shark Bait is reasonably good, on several tracks (Drag, Rope, and the Wilco-like Trainer) producer David Lowery takes too heavy a hand in the recording process. The result is that several of Magnet's songs end up sounding exactly like something from Lowery's own outfit Cracker .
