Lawrence David Guth ( / ɡuːθ /; born 1977) is a professor of mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. [1] Education and career. Guth graduated from Yale in 2000, with BS in mathematics. [2]
Larry Guth is a Claude E. Shannon Professor of Mathematics, as of July 2019. and a 2021 MacVicar Fellow. Guth did his PhD at MIT in 2005 under the supervision of Tom Mrowka.

This gives improved estimates for a Dirichlet polynomial of length N taking values of size close to N3/4, which is the critical situation for several estimates in analytic number theory connected to prime numbers and the Riemann zeta function.
