High Lonesome Sound is the seventh studio album from American country music artist Vince Gill. It was released in 1996 on MCA Nashville. It features the singles "High Lonesome Sound," "Worlds Apart," "Pretty Little Adriana", "A Little More Love" and "You and You Alone." Two versions of the title track are included.
Billy Joe Walker Jr. (February 29, 1952 – July 25, 2017) was an American songwriter, record producer and recording artist. He composed singles for Eddie Rabbitt, including "I Wanna Dance with You", "That's Why I Fell in Love with You" and "B-B-B-Burnin' Up with Love".

Steuart Smith and Billy Joe Walker, Jr. provided electric guitar, Jeff White handled the acoustic guitar and Pete Wasner and Steve Nathan covered the keyboards.
