After the break-up of Melbourne-based experimental funk band Essendon Airport in 1983, members Robert Goodge on guitar, Ian Cox on saxophone and Barbara Hogarth on bass guitar set about forming a band to create inventive, commercial, funk-pop music.

After the break-up of the band in 1983, Hogarth, Robert Goodge on guitar, Ian Cox on saxophone set about forming a band to create inventive, commercial, funk-pop music.
Bear Witness is the first and only studio album by Australian pop rock band I'm Talking. The line-up was Zan Abeyratne and Kate Ceberano on co-lead vocals, Stephen Charlesworth on keyboards, Ian Cox on saxophone, Robert Goodge on lead guitar, Barbara Hogarth on bass guitar and Cameron Newman on drums.
3 de sept. de 2020 · After snagging a cult following with the release of ‘Talking To Cleopatra’ featuring Anne Cessna in 1980, Chesworth and Goodge added bassist Barbara Hogarth, saxophonist Ian Cox and drummer Paul Fletcher to the unit to record Palimpsest in 1982, a quirky, frenetic art-funk opus – before breaking up shortly afterwards.
Ceberano and Abeyratne have been busy promoting the reissue, as well as bassist Barbara Hogarth (ex Essendon Airport).
Barbara Hogarth Essendon Airport is an Australian electronic music , post-punk group formed in 1978 which explored experimental minimalist and funk music. Founding mainstays were the duo of David Chesworth on electric piano and drum machine and Robert Goodge on guitar.
