Defiance, Ohio formed in 2002 as a three-piece in Columbus, Ohio [1] with Geoff on guitar, Ryan on Bass, and Will on drums. By the time they recorded their first demo, BZ joined on violin and Sherri on cello.
As the name of the album (which is derived from a line in track five, "Eureka!") and many of the track titles indicate, the major lyrical theme of The Fear, The Fear, The Fear is fear. Other major themes include anxiety, worry, isolation, monotony, and acceptance.
Midwestern Minutes is Defiance, Ohio 's fourth full-length album. It is available for free on the band's website. [1] The album has received considerable airplay in Australia, courtesy of Triple R's Bullying The Jukebox program, for which it topped their 'Best Of 2010' list.
