He Yingqin (traditional Chinese: 何應欽; simplified Chinese: 何应钦; pinyin: Hé Yìngqīn; Wade–Giles: Ho Ying-chin; April 2, 1890 – October 21, 1987) also Ho Ying-chin, was a Chinese politician and one of the most senior generals of the Kuomintang (KMT) during Nationalist China, and a close ally of Chiang Kai-shek.

Born into a landowning family in Xinyi (Hsing-i), Guizhou (Kweichow) Province on 2 April 1890, He Yingqin (Ho Ying-ch’in) received a thorough military education in both Chinese and Japanese military schools.
In 1924, he was recruited by Chiang to Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China to assist in the establishment of the Whampoa Military Academy. As the chief instructor of the academy, he successfully led a regiment of trainees in actions against a local warlord Chen Jiongming.
