She was stored in the open at AFB Ysterplaat until sold, and in March 1987, was put on display on top of Vic de Villiers 'Vic's Viking', garage in Johannesburg.

  4. 30 de jun. de 2024 · I am currently restoring a Shackleton door. The dataplate has June 66 but underneath it was another data plate with 13th Nov 52. So I assume an MR2/AEW2 that first flew in early 53 and then had the upgrade in 66.

This is all due to the fact that she posed a grave safety hazard on account of the bad corrosion that she sustained for being exposed to the elements.
