A life story told in parts that make the whole of a talented actor and a caring human being. Funny, touching, heartbreaking and thought provoking, this book soothes the soul. I listened to the audiobook, which was read by the author and didn’t want this book to end, I enjoyed it so much.

30 de ene. de 2024 · A Life in Parts is a good name for it because it doesn't read like the average book. It is bits and pieces of Bryan's life. Each chapter is an individual story about a part of his life. You don't have to read the next chapter to find out what happened. I would have liked it better if it read like a story in total.
Discussing his life as few men do, describing his art as few actors can, Cranston has much to say about creativity, devotion, and craft, as well as innate talent and its challenges and benefits and proper maintenance. But ultimately A Life in Parts is a story about the joy, the necessity, and the transformative power of simple hard work.
