We know very little about Mary Arden’s marriage to John Shakespeare, which took place sometime between 1556 and 1558. He was the son of a tenant farmer on her father’s land.

26 de abr. de 2022 · Mary Arden, c. 1537-1608, was the youngest daughter of Robert Arden (d. 1556/7) of Wilmcote, Warwickshire by his first wife, Mary Webb (1512-before 1550). Shortly after inheriting ten marks and a property called Asbyes upon her father’s death, Mary married John Shakespeare (d.1601).
