Barlow House. Barlow is named after St Ambrose Barlow, a monk of the community of St Gregory the Great, who was martyred in 1641. Fourth Form boys (Year 10) share a dormitory, with individual cubicles. Fifth and Sixth Form boys (Years 11, 12 and 13) have their own study bedrooms. House Colours: Black & White.

Downside School. Founded in 1606, Downside School is a leading, full boarding, forward-thinking school for girls and boys based just 25 minutes from the World Heritage City of Bath. Our School is home to 360 pupils sharing six Houses; our junior boys’ House (Years 7-9) and three senior boys’ Houses, along with two larger Houses for the girls.
