Original Gangstas est un film réalisé par Laurence Cohen avec Fred Williamson, Jim Brown. Synopsis : Marvin Bookman part en guerre contre un gang qui sème la terreur.
"Original Gangstas" (1996) is an urban action film featuring the legends of the Blaxploitation Era, Fred Williamson, Jim Browm, Pam Grier, Richard Roundtree, Paul Winfield, and Ron O'Neal. Larry Cohen and Williamson directed the movie, and Aubrey K. Rattan was responsible for the writing. Williamson's company, Po' Boy Productions, produced the film, and Orion Pictures distributed it.
As many other Cohen's films are, "Original Gangstas" is based on a good idea, but put into practice in a not-so-good way. It starts solidly, but gradually gets confused and unnecessarily violent. Nevertheless, for the people who love those stars, the film somehow delivers. I only wish that Tim Barton or Quention Tarantino would do the same thing.
A man having sex is pulled from a car and punched in the stomach. John and Jake drive by a rival gang and fire machine guns at them, blowing up several of their cars.
