Our History. <. >. Millfield was founded by RJO (Jack) Meyer in 1935, following his return from India with seven Indian boys, six of whom were princes. He came to be known as 'Boss' Meyer. The school was originally based in Millfield House, which is today a boarding house, but then was rented from the Clark family who owned most of Street.
Millfield fees are as inclusive as possible and extras are kept to a minimum. The day fee includes tuition, most activities at school, three-course lunch, games and prep, textbook loan, pupils’ personal accident insurance, contribution to travel and accommodation when representing the school, and internet access.
